Regaleira Palace
A Wonderful Estate built around the Freemasonry order between 1898 and 1912. It is known because of its Portuguese Neomanuelino style of architecture. It is a place to be amazed due to its magnificent gardens with lakes, tunnels and a waterfall.
In here it is possible to find numerous references to classical writers like Dante and Camões.
Palace of Monserrate
It is a mongol palace very important to the British culture because numerous famous writers, like Lord Byron and William Beckford, found inspiration here to write some of their masterpieces.
When visiting this monument you get access to the park of Monserrate that has plants from all around the world.

Praia das Maçãs
It was the first Portuguese beach that was used to go bathing in the early 20th century by influential families.
The name Maçãs (which means Apples) arises due to a river that ends by this beach and used to pass by numerous apple trees on its way. These apples would fall in the water and follow the river’s path until the beach, where people would find them.
Cabo da Roca
Considered to be, up until the 15th century, the most Western point in the world, or in other words, the place where the earth ended. Locals believed that if they went from this point forward they would fall in an abyss and die.
It is here where we can find an excerpt of the III chant of Os Lusíadas, the most influential masterpiece written by Camões, a notorious portuguese writer.
Pena Palace
Pena Palace is one of the most beautiful and emblematic palaces in Portugal. It was reborn from a convent of the order of St. Jerónimo and has several architectural styles due to the creativity of its builder D. Fernando II.
Surrounding this palace visitors will find a park with huge gardens and a breathtaking view of the hills of Sintra.
Sintra's National Palace
With around 10 centuries of history, it was build throughout the centuries having been improved several times in numerous reigns. Its silhouette remained the same ever since the XVI century. It is famous for its chimneys with 33 metres of hight, its rich collection of tiles and extraordinary ceilings.
